Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Efya, Abraham Attah, Stonebwoy, Yvonne Okoro up for 2016 BEFFTA Awards




It’s literally raining nominations for personalities in the Ghanaian creative arts industry.
Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Efya, Abraham Attah, Stonebwoy, Yvonne Okoro and a number of other Ghanaian acts have been nominated in various categories at the 2016 Black Entertainment Film Fashion,Television & Arts (BEFFTA) Awards.
Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale will compete for the Best International Male African Act award.
Attah is up for two awards: International Rising Star and Best Lead Actor (International film). Actress Okoro is also up for two awards: Best Lead Actress (African film) and Best Producer.
Songstress Efya is up for Best International Female African Act award.
BEFFTA Awards is a distinctly special awards ceremony honoring the best showbiz and entertainment personalities in the black and ethnic communities in the UK, USA, Africa and globally.
It is the first of its kind rewarding under one roof outstanding achievements and contributions from Africans, Caribbean and Asians in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts.
The awards scheme will take place on October 27 and 28,  and hosted by legendary Hollywood actor, Dr. Winston George Ellis, and BEFFTA CEO, Dr Pauline Long.
